Cittaslow Routes in Turkey as Gourmand Tourism Destinations

Abstract
Food is an important part of the journey, and gourmand travelers are especially aware of the benefits of traditional food culture and local food. Gourmand tourists will visit the cultural and natural resources of the cities, taste authentic dishes, learn local traditions, and experience the local food culture and traditions. Local food plays a central role within the tourism experience. The aim of this paper is to introduce six different Cittaslow routes in Turkey as gourmand tourism destinations, which will increase the awareness of the Slow Cities in Turkey. Literature review is used as a research methodology.
